What’s New
Chart your research, and see your order’s price on the chart
A new read-only historical chart lets you study any past session in Research, and when you’re planning a trade its net price now plots right on the chart. Practice also waits until the day’s data begins before you place an order.
Research gained a new Historical Chart: pull up any past trading session and study how SPX moved through the day, on the same chart you trade with. It's read-only — a place to look, compare, and get your bearings before you commit to anything.
While you're there, you can sketch an order. Lay out up to four legs — calls or puts, long or short — and its net price plots as its own line on the chart, right alongside the market, so you can see what the position would have cost as the day unfolded.
We also tightened up Practice. A trading day's data begins at a set time, and placing an order before then never made much sense. Practice now waits until that point before it lets you trade, and shows you exactly when trading opens — with a button to jump straight there — instead of an empty option chain.
